- What I'll need from you if we work together -
When you contract me to work with you there are some things you'll need to gather and get to me in order to get the job done. First and foremost is content. Belive it or not I have had individuals wanting me to create a site for them but getting content to put there was like pulling teeth. A webpage without content is simply a blank page. If you have articles or written material I will need this in text format as formatting done by word processors (Word, Wordperfect, Wordpad, etc.) is difficult and more time consuming to work with. If you want images I will need these, preferrable unaltered versions (e.g. raw camera JPGs or raw scans).
.
Another thing I will need is an idea for the layout. I can to some degree mimic something you've seen on the web but keep in mind the more complex the more time involved. What I would much prefer not to do is simply begin creating sample layout after sample layout as this also eats up time (and money). I do have a few simple templates that are easily altered (such as those used on this site) to suit the content you provide.
.
It is best to gather as much as possible, even content you are undecided on and weed out the unnecessary from there. There are a few sites that offer freebie templates which I am not opposed to using of if you are open to suggestions I can do this also. Take your time gathering your "stuff". Being prepared when you are ready to go makes the work go smoothly and efficiently.
