The
second of the three Koreans I kept for any length of time (and now the
only one). This is my wife's guitar, but she doesn't play. You ask why
it's hers? One word: Purple. I traded a Samick SAN450 for it but had already
made arrangements before hand and only had to bring the Samick in to finalize
the deal. My wife had no idea which guitar I was wanting and on this particular
trip she decided to tag along. No sooner than we had walked in the door
she zeroed in on this, walked over to it, and remarked how it was the prettiest
guitar in the store. Tom and I looked at each other and laughed. I guess
it's good I like it because it would break her heart if I traded it off.

It
is bone stock save for the Roland synth pickup I installed. I am not sure
what Kaman was thinking, but the second series of SATFs with the covered
pickups aren't half the guitars. It's a lot like the Epiphone Del Reys.
The first couple of years they were nice guitars but now that they are
part of the "Perfomance" series they have gone downhill in both appearance
and quality. Go figure. Sometimes I wish the powers that be wouldn't fix
what ain't broke!

I
have since removed and sold the MIDI arrangement. Never could get used
to the touchy nature of the sensor. |
