I
bought this Cardinal from that same shop in '83 with a loan from my Mom.
It has only left my loving care for a short while. Fortunately for me the
guy I traded it to heard the story behind it and gave it back allowing
me to make other payment arrangements.
.
I
had 9 months clean and sober and this was my Mom's way of saying she was
grateful (I now have 18 years under my belt). Yeah, I was one of those
idiots that either picked a fight with the cops or ended up draped over
a speaker tossing cookies. She passed away 2 months later and I was never
able to pay her back. This is my monument to her, and when I think of her
I play it. Damn straight I'm a Momma's boy! I've taken and dished out many
a ass-whoopins defending her honor! And I look it too! =] . Any man
that is too ashamed to say he's a Momma's boy ain't no man.
