Although
it's hard to see in the pic, the carved figured maple cap (not veneer)
looks more like ripples in water than flame or quilt. The headstock matches
as well. This has a number of traits in common with the PEs in that the
neck is set in with heel-less cutaway and the binding is identical to the
PE. This thing has the sustain of a Paul with the access and speed of an
SG! I am not sure if these pickups are exactly the same as those in the
Session II but I haven't heard many that come as close to the ORIGINAL
PAFs as these do. The tone config is unique in that from the factory the
tone pots are center detent and the flip side lug runs to the coil cut
lead from the pickup which offers a great deal of tonal flexibility. I
bought this thru ebay from some great people in Canada.
