This
is the first Aria Pro II I bought new back in 1982 from a small shop that
has long since disappeared. It was originally Cobalt Blue but during a
short period out of my possession it was badly abused and had suffered
the ravages of neglect. The finish and wood had so many gouges and dents
(not dings) it was necessary to fill the craters, sand it smooth, and I
finally refinished it Pearl White (which doesn't show in the picture).

The
bridge pickup is an OBL and the neck is actually the original bridge pickup.
Someone had spilled pickle juice on the neck pickup and that stuff really
corroded the windings (not to mention it was sticky and it STUNK). The
knobs looked like a dog had gnawed on them, mebbe it was doggy-pee in the
pickup =[. Needless to say after about 2 weeks work it had been resurrected
from the dead and will never leave my possession again!
