- 1981 Aria Pro II TA-70 -
One of the sweetest 335 clones I have ever had, quite possibly topping the JazzStrad! The pics on eBay of it were kinda iffy, but I could see enough after enhancement that the hardware appeared to be tarnished. Not a big deal, but when I got it, there was more corrosion than I had thought. The upside is the body was near mint! I think I have found one ding, and just a touch of scuffing, probably from it's obvious many years in the case. The tailpiece and all the rest of the hardware save for the bridge were salvageable, which gave me an excuse to order a Schaller Roller bridge for it. I have to admit it does for the most part fit the guitar. I'll let the vintage freaks tweak on it.

As you will see from the larger pics, it really cleaned up nice, and the tone is absolutely fantastic. For many years I have wanted an Aria Pro II TA, but the ones that previously passed through eBay went out of sight at the end. This one was listed 3 times, starting with a BIN of $750 which I laughingly ignored, then $650 and passed again with a chuckle, and last at $400 which got my attention. A gamble, yes, but this one paid off tenfold!
