I originally traded another Epi Paul for this one and it had been completely dismantled. The guy coordinating the dis-assembly wanted the Korean pickups out of this guitar for his brand new Gibson SG Standard! (?????).  Anyway, when we traded he tossed me some of the parts including the Gibson Classics out of the SG! The cheesy stamped tuners went in the parts bin and I put a set of black Grovers from a Gibson Paul on it. It turned out to be quite a player, but, theres one thing for certain: Epi has yet to produce a reasonable facsimile of a Gibson Les Paul. Man, do I miss the copies of the '70s and '80s!
