- Gone but not forgotten -
(Hohner Guitar Research) Revelation RTX

Another ebay find. This rather unusual critter was made in Czechoslovakia and the ATX pickups were made in the UK. The bridge pickups are actually two single coils, one reverse wound/reverse polarity and wired in series. It originally came with a tone cube from the factory but didn't seem to be too well suited to high gain. I drew a wiring diagram then took it out and used the push-pull tone pot to switch the bridge pickups between parallel and series. With the Wilkinson roller nut and trem, wanging the whammy rarely puts it out of tune. This one got melted too. The body is a lot deeper than it looks in the picture and the sides are perfectly square. Do you remember those little green Gumbys? If you were to look at this thing from an angle that's what it would remind you of. The first thing that went through my mind when I pulled it out of the case was Eddie Murphy on Saturday Night Live yelling "I'm Gumby Dammit!
