Many
visitors have been curios about me, and some have asked what I am like.
Well, as far as guitars are concerned, my beliefs and opions are covered
on the other "About Me" pages. This page is for those that want a peek
at "my world", and is more or less destined to be a small picture gallery
of sorts or "Horror Show" including the furry monster to be more realistic.
Now that we have moved out to a rural area and live in an older mobile
home, I no longer have a shop. I do however have a small room all to myself
and my guitars. It is about 9'x11' with little floor space left. I do however
have a bench set up as life in my little room would be incomplete without
it. Here is where guitars come to life, some make permanent homes, and
others are re-born or revived to travel on to someone else's loving and
caring hands.

I
have always hated cameras, and disliked my picture taken so there are few
pictures of me over the years. I will warn you now. I started life ugly,
and over time things only got worse! =] As time progresses I will update
this page with both new and replacement pics, and maybe move the ousted
images over to a gallery.

My first decent guitar after
the "Norma" was a Lincoln bolt neck LP copy. I played the frets off of
that thing! I ran through an old Manny's fuzz box into an old Supro Thunderbolt
keyboard amp (and now wish I would never have traded it off). Later on
Tom Scholz introduced the Rockman, and that became my new favorite, using
it both as an effects box into an amp, and hedphone practice amp. At the
time Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, BTO, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and other
hard rocking bands were my main influence, excluding the "pretty boys and
glamour bands". I never was much for guys that dressed and looked like
girls. Kiss's makeup was killer though!

Ahhh yes, the Sacred Aria
Wall! This wall is reserved for the most sacred things in my life. My first
Aria Pro II Cardinal, The Cardinal my Mom made happen for me, the Elegant
PE-60, and of course, The Classic PE-R80. The picture between the two sacred
Cardinals? My loving Wife of course! Without her my life would most likely
have been far more empty, and definitely without music as she is the one
responsible for pushing me until I abandoned the notion of giving up guitars
and music in general.

Hallowed Hollows and Distinquished
Company. Never in history has a set of f-holes looked so good to me! There
is really no way for me to top this bunch. Each is very different from
the other, but to add to it would be redundant.

The infamous "Wall of Blisters"!
Yes, another picture of my Wife. Sandy, guitars, sandy, guitars. What more
could a crusty old worn out scooter bum ask for? Well, maybe a cup of coffee
and a bandaid for my blisters. =]

A few blues licks with the
TA-70 for the mean old camera monster. When this one came along I was shooting
for a TA-100, but now that I have this there is no need to go any further
for an Aria Pro II hollow. Easily in the same class as the JazzStrad and
VSH-455! Believe it or not, my keys rarely touch my guitars! Most of the
time I take them off to play, but on occasion forget they are there and
one little "tink" reminds me that the vicious metal toothed things are
there and need to come off.

The "Aria SG that almost
wasn't" and me. After extensive neck/body surgery, I expected it to be
a complete loss and a dog. Man was I wrong about that one! It looks as
battered and worn as I do, but the darn thing rocks it's tailpiece off.
Yes, that's my Christmas Tree in the background. Notice the sheer joy in
my face at having my picture taken. (With 3 cats and 4 dogs the only kind
of tree I can have is one that bolts to the wall! =] )

I told you I really do play
my guitars! Here I am caught having a little Rock-and-Roll fun with the
Aria Pro II PE-150. I just love those P-90 clone pickups! They sqealed
like a herd of angry pigs until I dipped them, but now they simply rattle
the walls! They can however produce a sweet mellow clean tone none of my
humbucker guitars can. It has easily become one of my favorite things,
right along with blue jeans, red/blue/black pocket-ts, and of course, my
redneck hat. |
