Cheyenne
Cheyenne (a.k.a. the Woo
Dog) was picked up by a rep of the Ganite City ASPCA when she was thrown
from a moving car on highway 270. Her spine, right foreleg and her head
were injured in the incident. She was extremely cock-eyed for nearly a
year. Now, at age two, her eyes are evening out. She is still missing most
of her teeth on the right side - they shattered and the pieces eventually
fell out. After extensive interviews and home trials, I was allowed the
privelage of calling her my own. She is always at my feet ( to the extent
of tripping me on a regular basis ) and on guard against wild dogs where
I live. She has obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and chews her nails,
anyone's fingernails, seams on bedding, spots on the carpet, and sometimes
nothing when she is really stressed. Just nibble, nibble, nibble including
drooling like a Saint Bernard. ( She doesn't touch toenails, though)
The nickname 'Woo' is from her sweet eyes and her speech. She is a stoic
dog, but when she wants love and you are not within reach, a melodramatic
"Woooo" escapes her and upon hearing this and seeing her big, brown cock-eyed
eyes, she is irresistable - and she knows it!

Dakota
Dakota a.k.a. Fat Boy,
Pooter and Puss was destined for the pound when I accepted him. He
was slim in is earlier days, but it didn't take long before he reaped
the benefits of a regularly filled dish. He loves the outdoors - used to
sit on my screened deck in back for hours, but the few times he has ever
gotten free (error on our part) he has ended up in a fight and the big
fat boy got his butt kicked. He is like most cats, elusive but loving when
he wants to be. I have warned my 7 year old daughter not stare in his eyes.
He is not aggressive, but if you eye him in one room, the game is on, and
you can definitely plan on an attack somewhere in the house within the
next half hour. He has been declawed (at my deceased husband's request)
but you would be amazed at how tightly little clawless furry paws can grip
your ankles when tryng to escape down a hallway. He is the ultimate in
surprise attack. His favorite attack is to pop out from behind the shower
curtain when you are trying to take your morning constitutional.
I have put him on diet food since the loss of Shoshoni but he eats twice
as much!

Shoshoni
Shoshoni (a.k.a. PipSqueek,
Pippi, PeePee) was my sweetheart of cats. She was found in an abandoned
car and my son brought her home. Reluctantly, I said that we would keep
her. She was incredibly skittish, and made herself scarce anytime anyone
strange was around. At home, she slept on me at night, and would curl up
in my lap during the day. She answered to 'Pee Pee'. I know that is strange,
but it started from 'PipSqueek" because she never had much of a voice.
She didn't 'meow", she squeaked. She loved mayo (really any kind of 'human
food') and was forevever climbing on the counters or the stove when I was
cooking dinner. I could gather her in my arms at any time, and she would
give me loving. I had her for nearly a year. One day, she seemed very much
out of sorts ( for those pet owners, you know the feeling) I took her to
the local vet - incorrect diagnosis - took her to E. R in Barnhardt - She
was Feline Leukemia positive and in the last stages preceding death. It
was very difficult to say goodbye. She is also here at The Rainbow Bridge.
