The concept behind
"The Visitor's Rescues"
.
A
number of people that have been by here have shared their "rescues" and
adoption stories with us, and some have even sent pictures as well. I am
somewhat of a cynical person, and not much on people. These heartwarming
(but sometimes tear-jerking) stories offer me a ray of hope for human nature.
It tells me that within this predominantly self-serving species known as
Homo Sapiens there are a few individuals that are capable of compassion,
love, and understanding without the promise of praise or accolades. People
that feel a "connection" to our non-human brothers and sisters. It's
our hope these stories will both inspire, and motivate, as well as illustrate
that there are at least a few "true human biengs" inhabiting this frail
and mistreated planet. We personally want to thank those of you who have
taken the unwanted or abandoned into your homes and hearts, and found the
same joy that we have! Thank you!
