Jake and
Elwood
Companions to
Red and Kate
Jake was a pound puppy adopted
from the humane society in 95’ at 18 months old. Jake was supposed to be
part Rott and part Bull Mastiff. He had been in and out of the humane
society 3 times prior to our adoption. Jake was more than a handful
at first but his personality and character made up for all of it,
and he eventually settled down and fit right into our household. There
was nothing Jake wouldn’t try or do he was the greatest! He was definitely
a leader and spent 10 wonderful years with us before old age finally took
over and his system started to shut down. He has been greatly missed
by the many that met him and of course Red, I and his little brother Elwood.
The Blues Brothers had many great years with us and we loved them whole
heartedly. They will be with us in spirit forever & always.
Elwood came to us as a tiny
bundle of joy in 96’, hardly a handful. He was a timid little fellow
most times unless tested. He enjoyed many wonderful years with his
older brother Jake until 06’ at which time Jake passed away (the blues
brothers). In 08’ Elwood made his biggest road trip of all time and
relocated to OK, he’d found a little piece of heaven. He so loved
the freedom, weather and having his people around him 24-7. Elwood
lived a good long life and joined his older brother Jake in 10’.
I know they will be happy to be together again and in a place of no pain
and regained youth. We love you and miss you Elwood, you both
will be with us in spirit forever & always.
