My
Wife and I have never supported, nor do we condone pet "farms" (irresponsible
breeders otherwise known as puppy mills). We are firm believers in the
adoption process (as you can tell) and strongly believe that the best pets
are the "mutts". PLEASE convince your friends to visit the local Humane
Society, pet adoption center, or other NON-PROFIT pet placement agency
BEFORE they buy a puppy mill victim. They may very well find that loving
companion without having to spend a dime on a "mill" critter. We have found
that PetSmart is a good place as they host many adoption agencies and do
NOT sell mill critters.

If
you or someone else is considering a "purebred" please contact local Kennel
Clubs, Obedience Clubs, or ask your Veterinarian as they will know who
cares well for their purebred "companions" and can usually refer you to
a reputable Hobby Breeder. If you can meet the parents of the youngsters,
even better! I am not against pet stores, but they are FOR-PROFIT businesses
and purchase accordingly. Often Hobby Breeders have to ask more as the
cost of good environment and veterinary care is folded into the cost. A
purebred from a loving home or a glass cage? Not such a tough choice after
all!

Consider
This: If every family in the U.S. were to ADOPT pets, each family would
have 13 dogs and 45 cats! Wow! All because a small number of irresponsible
pet owners never get their pets spayed or neutered. Please spay or neuter
a pet before they become mature. It'll be doing us ALL a favor, especially
the critters! Warning!
