 Snoop(ers)
Aliases include: Nooperdog, Chicken
Snoop was one of those things that happens when the Wife calls and asks one of those loaded questions that there is never a correct answer to. I get a call one day and she asks whether she should adopt a beagle at one of those adoption days at the local pet store. What was I supposed to say? No, and break her heart, or Yes and be responsible for adding another critter to the mix? I think not. I have been married long enough to know how to get out of that kind of mess. I simply told her to do what she thought was right. In this case it meant one more kennel dog was coming home to the zoo. This poor hunting pup had obviously been badly abused, and any sudden movement spawned a serious pissing episode. It was quite an adventure training this one to be an indoor member of our pack. In time it worked out and he is the ultimate attention mooch. He is still wary of strangers, running and baying constantly when there are visitors he is not well acquainted with, but in retrospect he has improved considerably. I doubt we will eradicate all the damage done by his previous owner, but he has settled in nicely and now plays his part in causing puppy trouble with Scampers. This one is a major couch buddy, and can snore as well as Angus.
