All
the images on this page were gleaned from a single web search on Webcrawler
for "puppy mill" in LESS than 30 minutes. Imagine how many articles and
other pictures could be gathered in one day! Yes, those are Collies in
some of the images, covered in feces, urine, and the putrid remains of
their dead prison-mates! It's a disgrace to treat such a noble dog, or
any creature in such a way. The laws simply slap the hands of the people
that do this sort of thing. It is good that I do not make the laws! I would
not "slap", and I would not aim for the hands!

I
know this sort of thing exists! I have been to a ferret mill while looking
for a ferret. The rows of cages were stacked 4 high with open bottoms and
the pairs in the lower three levels were covered with the excrement, afterbirth,
and waste of the ones above, and all this was in a metal pole barn on a
90+ degree summer day. Needless to say I left in a foul-mouthed hell-rage
and made all the necessary contacts. I never went back for fear of my temper,
and that SOB wasn't worth doing time over.

Every
time I go into a pet store now, these images, as well as others and all
the articles and news stories I have read will come to mind. When I see
that cute little puppy, kitten, or ferret, I'll wonder about their parents.
Where are they? How are they? Could I have seen them here?

It
changes one's perspective to say the least, (that is, if there is an ounce
of compassion in one's heart). I imagine you are just a bit upset, if not
outraged, angry, and choked up like me. That's good! It's what I intended!
I did not sleep a wink the night I created this page, and to this day these
and other images still haunt me. They still bring a tear to my eye.
