I
picked this up simply to start on another project. A friend, Jon, who is
part of a local group of stunters loved the old chop and the bobber I had
recently finished so this barn turd not only had a new purpose but a direction
to go in. Jon wanted to be involved in the build process so after I had
everything pried loose and rust/corrosion/decay seperated from the good
we began the planning process and look of the finished sled.

Sometimes
I wonder why I get myself into these situations. The eBarf scavengers would
likely turn their noses up to this one. Nonetheless, the challenge presented
itself and an old Houndog is still a good Houndog. The two lower mufflers
were completely rusted out at the bottome and resembled brown and silver
tissue paper. A lot of the extras on this bike were fubar, but the guts
were what I was after anyway. As usual, no title but I did get a set of
keys that fit the rusted-solid locks and ignition. I remember looking at
this thing with the wrenches in my hands and wondering if I was up on my
tetanus shots. ;-)
