Page 4: Initial fabrication done and mockup complete....

The seat is solid mounted to the frame since it will have a suspension. It is cocked back just a bit to plant my ass right in the pocket. The fender is solidly mounted in three places which should be enough but once the bag supports are done they will also lent a little stability to the tail of the fender. Shift and brake forwards are done and work quite well and have that "old truck" look to them. I don't have shots of it but the exhaust mounts are also done. I still need to clean up quite a few welds, and finish a few welds on the underside after the frame is naked again. The cheesy chinese fatbobs threw me fits. After I finally had them mounted I realized why. The damn things are not matched! The mounts are lined up perfectly, but if you look at the well in the front below the upper front tank mount you can see the two tanks are shaped oddly! I had to skew the rear mounts a bit to get the tanks somewhat lined up at the tail end.
.

I've moved the battery box forward about a half inch compared to this shot giving a bit of clearance from the rear fender and the exhaust mounts are in place now. All in all it is coming along nicely, albeit slowly.

More to come...
